A Career Built on Leadership
I spent 25 years at HSBC, progressing from a graduate Software Engineer to IT Director, leading global teams of up to 200 people across the UK, Hong Kong, India, China, Canada, the US, Sri Lanka and Luxembourg.
I've navigated complex organisational change, driven Agile transformation, built high-performing cultures from the ground up, and sat in the rooms where the big decisions are made. I know what it's like to carry the weight of a global function, to inherit a struggling programme, and to turn it into something exceptional.
That experience isn't just context, it's the foundation of my coaching. When you tell me about organisational complexity, team dynamics, leadership pressure, or career crossroads, I draw on real, lived experience. Not theory.
The Sporting Connection
Before financial services, sport was everything. I hold a BSc (Hons) in Sports Science from the University of Wales, Bangor, and that passion has never left me.
Today, I bring the same principles that drive elite sporting performance to my work with leaders and teams: mindset, resilience, focus and collective accountability. I coach across both the corporate and sporting worlds, working with executives alongside elite sports people, managers and coaches. The crossover between these two worlds is where some of the most powerful coaching happens.
The Coaching Journey
I founded Yew Tree Coaching in 2023 to do what I'm most passionate about: bringing the best out in others. With 1,200+ hours of coaching experience and accreditation through the Association for Coaching, I work with leaders and performers across the corporate and sporting worlds, from Individual Contributor to C-Suite, and from elite academy players to international performers.
Confidentiality is the foundation of everything I do. Every coaching relationship is built on absolute trust and discretion - a safe space where clients can be completely honest about their challenges, ambitions and doubts, without fear or judgement.
